Every student signs in as themselves. Adding a child asks you one question - whether they are 13 or older. Under 13 you create a username and a password for them, with no email address anywhere in it, so nothing is ever sent to a child's inbox. From 13 they can sign in with their own email, Google or Apple account. Either way the child sits on your account and you can reset that password.
