How the payout rate works
A parent pays tuition; Stripe sends it to you, less PodsCool's share. On Seed that
share is 15% and there is no monthly fee, so a month with no students costs you nothing.
Every package above it trades a fixed monthly fee for a lower share - which is worth it
once the tuition you keep is more than the fee. Change package whenever you like; it
applies from your next billing month, and nothing about your pods or your students changes.

Look before you sign up
Every pod is public. Read the teacher’s profile, the schedule, the
materials list and the exact price a family pays, all of it without an
account, and without giving us an email address.

Make a free account and add your children
A parent account costs nothing, now and later. You add each child once; that is
what lets us show pods for the right age and keep their work in one place.

See the whole cost before you join
The teacher sets tuition. Before you commit you see it broken down month by
month, with the service fee shown as its own line, a flat amount added to
every enrollment, the same on any payment method, and not refundable. There is
no figure that appears later.

Enroll, monthly or once
Each pod says which it is before you pay: a monthly pod bills on the same day
each month for as long as your child attends, a one-time pod charges once and is
finished. The pod tells you which on its own page.

Everything arrives with the pod
The classroom, the term on your calendar, the gradebook, and messages with the
teacher all come switched on. There is no add-on, no upgrade and no second
checkout. A family who has paid tuition has the whole product.

Leave when you need to
You can cancel a monthly enrollment from your dashboard, and you are shown what
it will cost, and what comes back, before you confirm it, not
after.

If you want to teach, not only enroll
Plenty of parents on PodsCool started by enrolling a child
and ended up running a pod of their own. Today those are two separate accounts:
a role is chosen when you sign up and cannot be changed afterwards, so teaching
means a second account on a different email address. We are building the
switch: one account that can enroll your children and teach other people’s,
without keeping two logins.
You would set your own price
Teachers choose their tuition, their schedule, their subject and how many
children a pod takes. Nothing about a pod is set by us.
Starting costs nothing
The free package keeps 85% of the tuition you charge. The paid ones raise that
share rather than unlocking the ability to teach. You can run real pods
without paying us anything.
There are two steps before money moves
Teaching children means verification, and getting paid means connecting a
payout account. Both happen once, and families can see that you have done
them.
Nothing here is for sale and there is nothing to sign up for
yet. When the switch is ready it will appear in your dashboard, on the account you
already have.
